Dear Coaches,
With this letter we would like to introduce to you the idea of a “European Baseball
Coaches Association”.
All of you might agree that improving the level of coaching helps improving
the level of play.
Like mostly every coach I learned the most from my own coaches and beside a
good work ethic and the hunger for knowledge learning from other coaches might
have been the most important impact for my coaches’ life.
Of course there are already chances for coaches to learn from others like the
“Adidas Junior Elite Camp” by the MLB.
But in our opinion that should only be an additional help!
Because of the hard work of many people and especially the C.E.B. we already
have a lot of fantastic coaches in Europe too!
So it was the idea of a group of coaches to build a community of interest for
European coaches – the “EBCA”.
To learn from each other and to learn from the best to improve the level of
coaching is the main goal.
To reach this goal the idea is to be a meeting point for every coach who is
interested in European baseball. Part of this would be sending all interesting
information about methods of coaching in all aspects of the game as well as
of tournaments, players, clinics etc. via letter to the coaches. (4 times a
year)
Also setting up regional, national and international coaches clinics would be
possible.
At least one annual meeting is planed and the idea is to meet at the main city
for the European Championship (A- and B-Pool).
The EBCA is a non profit organisation which ask their member for a yearly fee
of 30 € to finance the costs.
There are already many coaches from all over Europe who are more than interested
to become a member of the EBCA.
